Hi I'm Susan Robinson

I've lived in Utah my entire life, graduated with a MSW. I have 6 children and 14 grandchildren and I am a Morman!

About Me

Unlike others residing in Utah, I have more progressive views regarding social issues such as funding quality education for every American child, and having a single pay insurance program that provides health insurance and excellent health care for every person. I suppose having a Masters in Social Work has influenced my values on what I consider innate human rights. I have six children including identical twins born when I was 43. I have 14 grandchildren with options for more when the twins begin their family. I spend a majority of my life in family related activities and love being with my own family as well as extended family. I am an avid reader and enjoy different genres of literature. I also love the theater and the associations I have in book club and theater group. I love to travel and look forward to seeing more of our beautiful country and more of the world. I also love eating a wide variety of ethnic food and experiencing new flavors. I have loved serving in a variety of church callings and feel blessed to be able to grow and be challenged.

Why I am a Mormon

Membership in our church means a life constantly being sweetened by a quiet assurance that everything will work out, everything will be okay. This confidence comes from knowing that although my life is imperfect, I am on the path the Lord has set forth and consequently, I am watched over, blessed, and purified. My life has had many challenges and adversities but this quiet assurance that in the end everything will work out has blessed every facet of my life. I love feeling the Gift of the Holy Ghost and knowing the sweetness, enlightenment, comfort and empowerment that can always be mine. I love having a community of fellow seekers who share my values, bless me with their gifts, and support me when I am in need. I love partaking of the Sacrament, knowing I am a daughter of God, and promising to be obedient. I love having that knowledge that I am loved and cherished by my Father in Heaven and his son, Jesus Christ. I love learning about and partaking of the atonement and feeling the freedom that comes with remission of sins. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and everything that entails. Because of that we are soon embarking on a mission to tell others about this love.

How I live my faith

My faith has been a continual growing experience. It was my first child that awakened me to the beauty of the gospel. I wanted him to have all the blessings I had been raised with; family prayer, family home evenings, priesthood blessings, attending church as a family and having the spirit in our home. Thanks to my Savior and the atonement, I was able to repent, gain a testimony, read the Scriptures, participate in church and have church callings. My husband's spiritual awakening came later and eventually because of a loving and merciful God, My husband, myself and 6 children were sealed in the temple for eternity. My last church calling was a test of my faith. My husband and I were called as Gospel Doctrine teachers and I felt inadequate to know and teach at that level. What did result from that calling was a spiritual feast in studying the life of our Savior. My testimony grew and my love for my Savior increased tremendously. That is the beauty of the gospel and membership in this great church; one's testimony and faith are constantly enlarging.
