Hi I'm Kennedie McKinstry

By profession, I am a hair dresser. By faith, I am a missionary for the Church and a daughter of God. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second oldest in a family of five and currently serving a full time mission for the church, and loving every minute of it! When I get home I plan on perusing a career in the field of cosmetology, and starting a family of my own. I love this gospel and everything that goes along with it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love this Gospel and everything it entails! I know how it feels and how it effects your life to live the Gospel and it's standards, and I also know how it feels when you don't. It has always made me so much happier living and knowing the truths I was raised on. It comforts me to know that I am a daughter of God and I have a Savior who knows me better than I even know myself, and I can turn to both of them any time I need. The Book of Mormon guides and inspires me everyday, and has become a huge part of my life. I am a Mormon because I know of the strength it gives me to make it through the trials of life and the strength it gives my family. I could not imagine my life without the knowledge of this Gospel! I am a Mormon, I know it, I live it, I love it!

How I live my faith

Right now I am currently serving a mission in Iowa spreading the gospel and the love of Christ to anyone who is willing to hear.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Kennedie McKinstry
The Atonement consists of 3 events: The Garden of Gethsemane, the cross, and the resurrection. In the garden Jesus Christ not only suffered for ever sin we would ever make but he also suffered for every pain and sorrow we would ever feel. He did this so we would have some one to go to for the remission of our sins and for comfort in hard times. On the cross Christ died for us so that we could overcome spiritual death. For ever action and choice we make there is a consequence, good or bad, and justice to be served. We are all going to sin in one way or another, there is no way around it. Jesus Christ died on the cross and paid the price for our sins so that we could, if we repent in faith, have His mercy. On the cross it was as if Jesus Christ took upon Him part of the punishment for our actions. Then after he was crucified he rose up again, overcoming physical death so that if we follow His plan we can have the opportunity to live with Him again. Show more Show less
