Hi I'm Karen

I grew up in Utah. I am a retired elementary school teacher. I love to teach sewing classes, I quilt. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a daughter of God. I am also a wife, mother, and grandmother. I have recently retired from teaching elementary school and have decided with my husband to serve a mission for my church. I will leave the comforts of home and family to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with people in another country for 18 months. I am excited to do this.

Why I am a Mormon

I have come to know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me. His son, Jesus Christ, came to Earth to set an example for me and all of God's children to follow. He has provided the Atonement so that all can return to live with our Heavenly Father. I follow the teachings of Christ by loving all of those that I come in contact with. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is pure happiness and brings peace to my soul.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by committing myself to a life of service. I visit ladies in my area on a monthly basis, and get to know them and their families. I serve others who may have illnesses, or physical struggles in their lives. I volunteer to work with and teach young boys during the week as they work on Cub Scouting requirements. I have served on many occasions as a leader in the organizations for children, youth and adults. I serve my community by helping with welfare assignments which in turn help others outside of my community.
