Hi I'm Mariella Thayn

I am 23 and was born and raised in Utah. I ride bikes, sing songs, and practice yoga. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to think of myself as just a normal 23 year old with a few little quirks. I find joy through riding my bicycle as fast as I can down a long windy road or through practicing mindfulness while doing yoga. I enjoy meeting other people and finding ways that we are all connected through our emotions, thoughts, and interests. I have three older brothers who I absolutely love and adore. I give credit to them for any amount of toughness I have :) I am so grateful to my parents and what they've taught me as well and am thankful to have the family that I do. I am a ''humble seeker of happiness'' trying to find joy in the journey and enduring to the end.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because by living the teachings of the gospel and feeling the love my Savior has for me and for others, I have found what makes me the most happy. I love that we have leaders who share ideas, thoughts, and suggestions for how to handle daily life. I am so grateful for that and have found myself turning to the Book of Mormon or listening to General Conference talks when I am feeling discouraged about anything. I am in no way perfect and I make mistakes, but I try to learn from the Book of Mormon about the teachings and life of our Savior when He was on earth to try to improve and become more like Him. He is the perfect example of kindness and love. We all believe in having hope and faith that the Lord has a plan for us and that just by trying each day to be the best we can be we can see ourselves and others the way our all-loving Savior does. I am so grateful for that knowledge and am so grateful to be a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being an example of love to others. I believe that the Lord loves each and every one of us and that we are all here to help each other grow by sharing our trials, achievements, and goals. I know that whether we have a religious background or not, we all have a loving Heavenly Father and older brother Jesus Christ that are looking out for us and rooting for us to become the best we can be.
