Hi I'm Lily Gwendolynn Felemi

I grew up in a small town called Tulare. I have been called to serve in Billings, Montana and report Sept. 30,2015. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the third of six children. I was born and raised in the beautiful state California. My family is Tongan and I love learning new and great things about the ways my parents have grown up. I'm currently dating a Samoan and have learned so much from being with him both spiritually and mentally. For my main hobby, I love music and it has become one of my deepest passions. I've played the alto saxophone, marimba, vibe and xylo. The hype it get from playing is like someone playing in a sport, just mine deals with making music. I also just love quality family and friends time doing anything that brings in positive vibes! I've done 2 years at a university and loved every minute of it. I am reporting to Billings, Montana to serve my Heavenly Father and cannot wait to see what the future has in stored for me!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family where my mom was a strong member and my dad wasn't really into any church. From the time I was little, I could always remember going to church, but that is when I was told that it wasn't until I was born that my father started attending as well simply because he wanted a forever family. My conversion story of when I truly felt the Lords and Saviors love for me, was when I was in high school. I started getting into things that I shouldn't have or just being around a group of people that didn't quite hold the same standards as me. I was beginning to become lost. That's when I had a close family member that was a great example pass away and I truly knew I wasn't where I wanted to be in my life, but I didn't know how or what was the path to the way back. That's when I met some of my best friends! All of them impacted my life to get me back on track. Yes, the road back wasn't easy, but it also wasn't impossible which is what was the greatest feeling ever!! That's when I know that Heavenly Father LIVES and His son Jesus Christ. I know that this is the true church here upon this Earth. The atonement is there for everyone and it is up to us to have the desire to use it that we may become clean again. No one is perfect, but we can all strive to just become a little bit more perfect each and everyday through our examples we are to others. Heavenly Father is mindful of all our situations we are in, and will send the help we need when we think that we have been abandoned or lonely. I cannot put into words the blessings that come from living the gospel and how much I love and appreciate it in my life! If you ask with a true desire, it will come! Just have a little faith and patience in knowing that it will. I know this to be true and testify that it can happen for any of us!

How I live my faith

In my familly, we have a motto of, "Famillies are forever!" I strive to keep that eternal perspective in all the things I do in knowing that our family is a forever one. In my daily life, I cannot explain the multiple times that the teachings of our church influences my decisions and character of going about a situation. I strive to following Christ's teachings but most importantly, applying them into my life that I may become more Christ-like. The blessings that come from living this everyday are endless! A simple smile or wave is a gesture that allows others to see the pure love of Christ within you. One of the biggest things that has impacted my life is service. I've learned patience and hard work while being happy with doing whatever it is I am asked to do. I am a ward missionary in which I am asked to help the missionaries with whatever tasks it is that they need help or just an extra hand in preaching the gospel. I love this calling at it has prepared me greatly for the opportunity I'll have to go and serve.
