Hi I'm James Powell

I was born and raised in Jerome Idaho where I worked from a young age and learned to work, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really like the outdoors and being in them as often as possible. I grew up going dirtbike riding and riding four wheelers during the summer and riding snowmobiles during the winter. In school I bounced around to just about everything, I played tennis two years, ran Cross Country two years, was in the Musical two years, 4-H eight years, FFA four years, BPA one year, and alot of other things that would take to long to list. I have enjoyed just about everything in life and loved it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because of an experience I had as a young boy. It all started when I was going to church as a kid and the teachers always said to pray to know if the Book Of Mormon is true. so I decided to do that, when I was just ten years old I knelt down next to my bed and prayed to my Father in Heaven and asked a very simple question... Is this church true, did Joseph Smith restore the gospel, and was the Book Of Mormon true. That is when received my answer to my question.... I felt Gods love for me and I felt the Holy Ghost confirm to my heart that the Church is true, that Joseph Smith restored the gospel, and that most of all the Book of Mormon is true. Ever since this experience I have felt the Holy Ghost confirm over and over again the feeling of that night. to help me know that there is reason to be Mormon. Because while I have followed what has been said by the prophets I have been happy and I have felt the love of the Savior. This is why I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving a mission for Jesus Christ. I will be gone two years in the Naga Philippines Mission where I will go without many of the comforts of life that America offers to let the people of the Philippines know the joy that can come from devoting their lives to Christ.
