Hi I'm Kayla

I'm a missionary in the California Ventura Mission. I'm a amateur photographer. I'm a lover of animals. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in the great state of Oklahoma. I love working with kids, so I want to be a teacher when I grow up. I document my life by taking pictures. I love animals - I have a dog named Boomer and he is my best friend. I love to travel. My favorite place I have traveled to is Samoa. My dream is to backpack across Europe. I love anything chocolate. Country music is my favorite but I pretty much jam to all sorts of music.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS faith. I grew up my while life going to church with my family, and I always loved it and tried my very best to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. When I was fifteen my parents decided to move from Arizona to Oklahoma. When I moved to a new place with a new school, I felt so alone. I decided the way I was going to get through this was to build my relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I made it my goal to read my scriptures and pray with sincerity - those things helped me not feel so lonely. I continue to live his gospel because it makes me so happy. Family is at the center of the gospel and family is so important to me. The gospel is the thing that has helped me through my hardest trials because it brings so much peace and comfort.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by working with the youth. I am only I young adult, but my calling in church is to work with the young women who are 12-18 years of age. I love working with them because they teach me so much and have such sweet spirits.
