Hi I'm Andrea

I am a Utah State Aggie. I love being outside under the sun. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Vermont, and I just finished my first year of college at Utah State University. I love being active, and I am always up for an adventure. I love soccer, rock climbing, pole vault, volleyball, hiking and running. I love corny jokes and terrible puns. I also love chocolate milk. I think it is a great cure for many things. I have been called to serve a mission in El Salvador!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this is the restored gospel on the Earth. I was born into the church, and I have wonderful parents who taught me very well, so I grew up learning about the gospel, and living this faith. It wasn't until high school, though, that I started to believe for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ is the true and restored gospel on the Earth. My whole life I have wanted to serve as a missionary for the church. My senior year of High School I went through a very hard trial. I was overwhelmed by my school work load as well as planning my future, and other personal problems in my life. I felt very lost, and unlike myself. I became depressed and lost that dream of becoming a missionary, and lost myself. One day I hit such a low point that I knew I could not carry my load on my own. There was no way I could get though it by myself. So I turned to my Savior, who suffered for each of us. He suffered for our sins as well as our pains and afflictions, so that we would not have to suffer as He did. Because of Jesus Christ, we can become clean and whole again. He can also help us through difficult trials when we feel like there is no where else to go. As I prayed and reached out to him, I was able to come out of the slump that I was in. Gradually things became more manageable, and I felt like I was becoming myself again. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior, that He loves us and wants to help us. Because of this experience, I have come to know that this church is true, and I regained my desire to become a missionary again. I have felt so much happiness and peace in my life because of this gospel. I know that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me, and I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior. This gospel has provided joy and guidance and direction to my life, and I know anyone can feel the same way if they ask with real intent.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by constantly striving to be the person I want to be. The person my Father in Heaven knows I can become. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me to grow and become better, and I know that I can only do that by keeping His commandments. I also live my faith by serving others, and loving others the way that Heavenly Father loves them. Right now I am preparing to be a missionary. As a missionary I will be able to teach others about this gospel and what I believe. I will get to teach others about how they have a Heavenly Father who loves them, and has a plan for them. And I will get to teach these people about Jesus Christ, who Heavenly Father sent to Earth to suffer for our sins and die for us. Each of us. For a year and a half I will live my faith this way, and I hope to continue to teach others about Christ for the rest of my life.
