Hi I'm Braden

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love the Gospel and the peace it brings! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to work with wood, metal, and leather. I've made a couple knives and a tomahawk. I enjoy camping, horseback riding, hiking, stargazing, and just being outside. I also like to exercise, watch movies (Lord of the Rings is the best!), play card games, play catch, shoot .22's, throw knives and my tomahawk, and hang out with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised and grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Most of my family and relatives are active and faithful members in the Church. But I am a Mormon because I know for myself that this Church is true. I know that the Book of Mormon was written by ancient prophets and was translated by Joseph Smith, Jr., who was the first Prophet of the latter days. I know that he (Joseph Smith, Jr.) was called by God to restore His church on the earth and that that church has been restored in its fullness. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that, today, we are lead by Prophet Thomas S. Monson and that he is called of God just as the prophets of ancient times, Joseph Smith, Jr., and all Prophets before him were called. I know that God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, live and that they are mindful and know each of us with a knowledge that we cannot fathom. They love each of us with an infinite love and want us to be anxiously engaged in spreading the light of Christ, living His gospel and following His commandments. I know that Christ suffered for our sins, was resurrected and provided an infinite Atonement that provided a way for all of Gods children to return to Him through the miracle of repentance. I love my Father in Heaven and my Savior, Jesus Christ, and wonder at how they are my family, they are our Father and Brother. I know these things to be true and share them with you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the best that I can to become more Christ-like every day. I know that as I do, I will be able receive a fullness of joy. I am also serving in the Texas Houston Mission as a full-time missionary to "invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end."
