Hi I'm Sam

I live in Idaho and love to kayak, rock climb, mountain bike, and ski. And I'm a Mormon

About Me

I worked as a kayak guide on the Salmon River. I love to kayak, ski, rock climb, and much more. I work for my dad at a kayak rental shop that we own. I enjoy playing a few video games, my favorite, of course, is Super Smash Bros. I recently graduated high school and have been accepted to Utah State University which is where I will attend after my 2 year mission to the Utah St. George Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon. During my freshman year of high school, I asked myself if I truly believed every thing my parents and religions leaders taught me. I then turned to God to find out that answer. I prayed to know what I believed and to believe that which I did not know. Over the course of my first semester of high school, it slowly occurred to me that I did know that the Mormon Church is true and the the teachings thereof are correct. I also came to a realization that Jesus did atone and die for me that I can use His Atonement to help better my life and to become clean from past sins. I realized that my family can be together forever because of eternal marriages that happen in temples all around the globe. I also know that there is a prophet on the earth today that leads the church and provides council for all of us. I know Joseph Smith was a real prophet and that he, with God's help, translated the Book of Mormon. This book contains everything we need to know to live with our Heavenly Father again, for all time and Eternity. I know that only through his plan can we be truly and everlastingly happy.

How I live my faith

I have lived my faith by serving with the other youth in my ward or church group. We have helped with church services, and preformed countless service projects for those in need in our community. I am now serving in the Utah St. George Mission helping to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who wish to know more. I also live my faith by staying morally clean.
