Hi I'm Michael

I'm a husband, father, marathoner, Chief of Police, Ph.D, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Sacramento, California I was raised by great parents and have 6 brothers I served a mission to the Philippines-Mabuhay! I am a husband and father of four children I have run 10 marathons and now compete in triathlons I work in law enforcement as the Chief of Police I am a part time college professor I love to serve others

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a LDS household by loving parents who taught my brothers and me to show our love for Jesus Christ through quiet and often anonymous service. I am a member of the LDS faith today because of my faith in Jesus Christ, the power of the Atonement, and the happiness living the Gospel brings into my family's life.

How I live my faith

I am the Director of Public Affairs for my area and enjoy working with other faiths to serve those less fortunate in our community. I try to live my life through a Christ centered focus by loving others, being kind to all, and leading by example. Obeying God's commandments also brings me peace and happiness.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Michael
Not at all. The LDS Church has a history of self reliance and resiliency. In my current church volunteer assignment, I work with other churches and non profits to help those in need in our community. It's great to work with other faith members to show that we can all work together while respecting our individual faith traditions. Show more Show less
