Hi I'm Scott

I have been happily married for 29 years. I have enjoyed Farming/Ranching Insurance adjusting, Construction, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 59-year-old husband, father and grandfather. In my careers I have been in farming, insurance adjusting, and construction contracting. I have enjoyed playing & coaching football, outdoor activities & woodworking. My passion is sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have been happily married to the love of my life for 29yrs. I have 7 wonderful children & 5 awesome grandchildren. So far I have had 3 children serve full time missions. 2 sons both Spanish speaking in Mexico City and Barcelona Spain. My Daughter just returned from serving 18 months in Paris, France. My oldest three children are from a previous marriage, a boy and 2 girls. The oldest are twins and they live close by, and one daughter lives in California. We get together as family as often as we can, however it has been difficult at times throughout their life for me to express and have them know how much I love them. Going through a divorce was physically & mentally the most heart wrenching experience I had ever encountered. I only made it through because of the Love & enabling Grace of my Savior Jesus Christ. My greatest desire & hope for my children and posterity is to watch their testimony of Jesus Christ grow and develop into a sure knowledge. He is the Divine Only Begotten Son of God! He not only shows us the WAY, but is the ONLY way to true happiness in this life. He IS our Savior, our Redeemer. He overcame all that we may have joy in this life & live again forever with Him and God the Eternal Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I’m a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ, that this is His Church. I testify, He is the Savior and Creator of the world (John1:3). It has been my experience, His Gospel will bring the joy, happiness, and sense of fulfillment in life that we all seek. As we search for these things we must be diligent to search for God first (Matt.6:23). God is a God of mercy and because of His perfect love for us he has prepared a way for us to return to live with him again, He gave us the ultimate sacrifice of His Only Begotten Son. Jesus Christ is at the center of this plan. He is our advocate, intercessor and Mediator with God the Eternal Father. Being perfect, His infinite and eternal sacrifice, His atonement pays the price of our sins and allows mercy to satisfy the demands of justice. He has perfectly overcome all that the adversary and the gates of hell could muster against Him. (https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2009/04/none-were-with-him?lang=eng%23watch=video%20%20%20). I invite you to come and see. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have someone who understood your challenges and sufferings in this life? (Because of Him) Jesus Christ the Savior of all mankind in His atoning sacrifice experienced the suffering of everyone who will ever live! Which means if we will let him in, He is the only answer that will give us the type of understanding, peace and love to heal and lift us. When we make mistakes, if we have a sincere desire to change (repent), His Grace is the only power to enable us to change, to become what He has intended for us. I invite you to come and see. -- ANSWERS – – At times we will not have all the answers. Some things and positions can be confusing. We all make mistakes and can even hurt one another. I testify, as we seek in faith to know the mind and will of God, He will reveal in His time, through the Holy Ghost, all things that are expedient for us. We just need to realize we are on the right path without having to always know all things.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my life as the Savior Jesus Christ would have me do. This includes trying to follow His example of service to those around me. My goal in life is to listen and be directed by the Holy Spirit, to try and be as "His Hands"to those whom He may place in my path. To help succor those who stand in need of comfort. I strive to always remember His sacred sacrifice for us. To stand as a witness of Jesus Christ at all times and in all places. I have been a Mormon all my life, my first vivid experience of conversion was my own, my "spiritually being born again". It was just before my mission to Kobe, Japan. A time of reflection to gain a sure testimony before dedicating the next two years to bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to God's children in Japan. I was attending college in Provo & lived in a home with 8 other "returned missionaries". I will always remember the incredible confirming, sure wittiness of the Holy Ghost that was the beginning of the rest of my life as a witness of Jesus Christ. For the past 10 years I have had the blessing of serving as a Temple ordinance worker in Arizona. Frequent regular Temple attendance has brought incredible spiritual & physical blessings into my life. Along with sharing time with my family, the peace and feeling of closeness to God I experience in the Temple is like nowhere else on earth, it must be what Heaven is like. I am also serving as the ward mission leader in our church congregation. We have had specific and overwhelming blessings come into our life as I rededicate my efforts to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ by INVITING all around me to "come unto Christ". Since my full time mission I have missed the influence, the intensity & constant guidance of the Holy Ghost. I felt like I needed something in my life to help be more consistent & successful in sharing the Gospel. It is energizing as I have discovered the "how to" share the Gospel from implementing principles in "The Power of Everyday Missionaries."
