Hi I'm Kenadee

I love feeling like a little kid and being around people who allow me to feel that way. Disneyland, Lucky Charms...you name it.

About Me

I love to be myself. I am a sister, daughter, aunt, teacher, and friend. I recently graduated high school while simultaneously graduating cosmetology school. I love to make people feel beautiful whether it is inside or out. I love Disneyland and donuts. I am an avid music listener and I love the way I feel when I truly can relate or connect with a lyric. I love to be excited about something, whether it is play or work. I believe in the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with every part of me. My love for the Savior has only continued to grow as I learn more of him. Second to the church, my family is the most important thing in my life. I love to spend time with my siblings and my parents. I am a competitive spirit and if asked to play any sort of card game I am more than determined to win. I am sensitive to the spirit and I love the feeling when I can feel the promptings of the Holy Ghost. I have a tender heart and I care about other people's lives so much. I have the tendency to feel each emotion very deeply. Whether I am happy, sad, mad, excited, or scared it is not a question. The knowledge and testimony I have of this gospel is my rock, and it is something that nobody can ever take away from me. It is who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a Mormon because it makes me so incredibly happy. By choosing to follow the Lord's commandments, I am blessed beyond measure. I have felt the power of prayer and the feeling of peace I get when my prayers are answered. There have been many times where I have turned to the Book of Mormon for guidance, and sure enough I was uplifted each time I read. I choose to be a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins and that through him, we can repent and return to our Father in heaven. It is through this church that I can be with my family forever. I am a Mormon because as I read the scriptures, I know that the prophets and stories told are true. And because I know this is true, I also know that Joseph Smith restored this church and translated the Book of Mormon so that we might be able to have the fullness of the gospel. I am a Mormon because of the overwhelming love I feel for the brethren as I hear their words of guidance during general conference. The peace I feel when listening to the direction from the prophet is undeniable. I know that it is a true and complete gospel and I want to make it known to the world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church every week, going to institute, and spending time with my family. I live my faith by being a seminary graduate, having my Young Women award, and attending the temple weekly. I live my faith by dressing modestly and obeying the Word of Wisdom. While my choice to act on my faith has wavered at times, my faith and testimony has always been there. I choose to live my life based upon the Savior. Part of this can be due to the fact that I was raised this way by loving parents. I got to a point in my life where I knew it was time for me to decide for myself if this was what I wanted for my life. I came to know at a young age that this is in fact, the true church and that through this church was the way back to God. Graduating from High School I felt all kinds of pressures from both good and bad sources. I felt pressure to get married, to go to college, to not further my education, and also to go on a mission. My heart was troubled as I thought about how the decisions made at this time in my life were crucial to my future life and future family. I knelt in prayer one night in the middle of the night with so much respect and gratitude for my Heavenly Father and I told him about all of my troubles that I am facing. The next day, I received the most amazing answer to my prayer. Heavenly Father made it clear to me that I need to serve a mission. I have never been so at peace or happy with a decision in my life. It was evident to me at this time that God does listen to our prayers and that He will answer them if we ask. I live my faith by putting all of my trust in the Lord, for there is no one else I would want to direct the reigns of my future.
