Hi I'm Jared

I have lived in California my whole life. I loved to run in Track in high school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to run. In high school I was a Track runner who did distance running. I was never able to beat the fastest kid on the team, but I always gave my all. I love to help people, especially those who need the help. It gives me a warm feeling inside when I know I've done some good in the world. I love to hang out with my friends and I love to meet new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I was born into the church. Now, though, as I am older and now have the opportunity to decide for myself whether or not to go to church, I made the choice to be an active member. I have learned so much about the gospel and I know I have been a better person than I would have been had I not had the church in my life. The guidelines the church gives the youth have helped me to avoid making wrong choices and I am very grateful that I had those guidelines to guide me throughout my life.

How I live my faith

I've always been an active person in church. I've had many different callings while I was a young man that allowed me to be a leader to the other youth in my ward. As a teacher (age 14-15) I was given the opportunity to say the opening prayer in sacrament meeting, and I was very grateful for the opportunity. If there is ever a service project I will normally be one of the first people to volunteer because I know that is what Jesus would do. I always try to live my life like Jesus did, although sometimes it is hard.
