Hi I'm Harry Nielsen

I grew up most of my life in Idaho. I have been an active member for more than half of my life in the church. I am a Mormon

About Me

I have a deep interest in learning how to be a seminary teacher. I enjoy reading and drawing in my recreational times. In my previous years I was a boy scout and achieved the life rank. After my mission I hope to go to BYUI and learn religious history.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I know that this is the gospel of Jesus Christ. I converted when I was around 9-10 and didn't exactly get into the grove of how fantastic it was until I was around 14. There is where my true conversion to the church began. Ever since I am very happy to say out loud crying to the heavens that I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

Besides the weekly meetings on Sunday, I also used attend the temple once a week as an ordinance worker, where I help patrons with the ordinances one can do inside the temple. I'm also a Full time Missionary

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Harry Nielsen
To learn and return. "Like We are, God once was. And like God, We can Become" Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Harry Nielsen
We Glorify him for bringing about the Restored Gospel though Jesus Christ. He is the first Prophet in our current dispensation. We love him for what he has done. We do not worship him. Show more Show less

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Harry Nielsen
We (including me currently out) pay for it ourselves through jobs, or through tithings from members that wish to support us. We use only money we have been given or have saved up. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Harry Nielsen
God loves everyone. He wishes for all of his children to have the chance to enjoy living in his presence again. Without Baptism we cannot. Baptisms for the dead is our way of giving those who would have accepted it in this lifetime the chance to accept it in the next. All deserve a chance to live with him. Even the ones who never heard of him in this lifetime Show more Show less
