Hi I'm Cassie

I grew up in San Diego and I am the youngest of ten kids and inspire to be a chef on day. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the youngest of ten children and the first to be serving a full time mission. In high school I played volleyball, softball, track and field and lacrosse. I guess you could say I like sports. I also started Special Olympic Bowling with my family in San Diego. I recently received my call to serve in Costa Rica and I could not be more excited!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church but that is not why I am a member. I am Mormon because I have prayed and pondered on wither or not this church is true. The answer did not come right away but by reading the scriptures and praying to my Heavenly Father overtime I received small confirmations that this was the true church. I have received many blessings from following the commandments and staying close to my Heavenly Father and I know that because of that my life is on the right track. This does not mean that my life is easy. We all face challenges that will hinder our decisions and test our faith but if we endure through these trails we will be blessed. Doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through example. I want others to know of Christ because they know me. One of the best ways that we can show our faith is by being an example of Christ like love to everyone even if that just enquires a simple smile.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Cassie
We have all experienced it. Loneliness, failure, rejection you name it. We were born to be imperfect and that is okay. We make mistakes and sometime we do things that we shouldn't and that is just part of being human. We are never alone. We can always lean on the love and sacrifice of our Savior Jesus Christ. He suffered for us. He has been through what we are going through. Because of the Atonement of Christ we are given the opportunity to return to our Father in Heaven. This does not mean that we can make sins and do nothing about it. We need to have faith in Christ and repent for the wrongs we have made. You can never sin to far from Heavenly Fathers love. He is not disappointed in you, you are his child and he loves and cares for you individually. Do not let Satan deceive you into thinking that because you have done wrong you can not be truly loved by your Heavenly Father . He loves you unconditionally. If you feel as though your drifting farther and farther from the church because of a choice you have made please do not be afraid to talk to your Bishop. I assure you that he will help and guide you and that burden will be lifted. Show more Show less
