Hi I'm Charlie

I grew up in Utah, I married my high school sweetheart we've raised our 4 children. I'm now a grandpa, I love it. I am a Mormon

About Me

I was a bit of a rebel in my high school years from mostly a lack of supervision. My parents were divorced when I was 12 and not having family structure was a huge loss to me. Before they got divorced we were a very active family. Then to break that up and everyone go their own way was distrustful. Then I married my high school love. We were privileged to be blessed with four amazing children who are now married themselves and have children of their own. so that makes me Grandpa, I love it. Life has its challenges in those challenges I try teaching them to love one another, to get along, to work and to be respectful of others gives them basic skills to live their life.

Why I am a Mormon

Seeing the blessings associated with Families that have a strong core value was appealing to me as a youth. Now that I have my own it is important to share with them and others the blessings of making good choices so they have that same opportunity to raise their own family. Families are forever and happiness is where the family is. I love the opportunities to serve and work with others and share with them the love I have in WORK. Work is a blessing and everything we do takes work. It is how we look at things especially work that defines us as individuals.

How I live my faith

Sharing life experiences with others where ever I go and working in the community through baseball and other activities to help keep in place programs that the youth can participate in. That promote healthy living and being active as well as participating in competition where you Win and Lose. It's important in life to learn to lose, when you lose its the time in life when we are the most teachable. When the student is ready the Teacher will appear. At that time our Heavenly Father does send the Teacher to help us in what ever we are in need of. Sharing experiences and the blessings associated with being a Father and Grandfather are tremendous and is something I take serious. These life lessons are the keystones of Charlie. Some are hard to talk about because there are filled with emotions that have sweet blessings attached to them from our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ which are called tender mercies. These tender mercies are the glue or add strength to my belief and testimony of the Savior, Jesus Christ and the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Charlie
As we live our lives we are not perfect and make mistakes along the way. The Savior to me has make it possible for me to move forward from the Charlie of old to grandpa Charlie. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Charlie
We as humans suffer, in living we have make huge mistakes. to be forgiven of the mistakes make some small some very big and to be reconciled with or Father in Heaven is where the Atonement has its place. The Savior suffered to Atone for my wrongs. I am grateful for this because it gives a balance. Show more Show less
