Hi I'm Kiana

I'm from Alaska. I play the violin. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the great state of Alaska. After High School I went and lived in Hawaii for several months where I had some amazing experiences, then I decided it was time to serve a mission. I just received my call to serve in Rome Italy and I've never been happier! I love the outdoors, climbing mountains, exploring rivers, camping, biking etc. nature is so inspiring and I love exploring all of God's marvelous creations! I love the art of hair and makeup, so I plan on going to cosmetology school after I come home from Italy. But that is just a side goal, finding an eternal companion will be my highest priority! Life is good and there is so much to do, but I'm so excited for these new adventures!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in this Gospel, so some may say that I never really had a choice whether or not to believe it, but for me I am so grateful that I started this life with God's teachings already in my home. It was always right there in front of me and I never had to search for the truth. I still had much to learn and to understand for myself, but I've always known that this gospel was true- even if I might not understand something right away, I know that in time, If I study and ask God in Faith, then he will reveal those things to me. So I've always known, and the more I learn, the more I know that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Sometimes we are not aware of how we act and behave or how we treat others, and I too have too seen this in myself, but the more I learn about my Savior and the love that he had for all of Gods children and his awareness of those in need, I find myself more in tune with my own actions and behaviors. I think the best way to overcome pride and selfishness is to be lost in the service of others. Maybe we hear this all the time, but really it's true. When we serve others we are only serving God, and when we serve God, we are coming closer to him.
