Hi I'm Ethan

I'm studying Mechanical Engineering. I enjoy fishing and skiing in the mountains, and playing music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I decided to study Mechanical Engineering in college, because I enjoy doing math, being creative, and getting the most out of the world around me. My parents really supported me growing to excel in school and to develop talent on the piano. I took piano lessons for about thirteen years, and learned to express myself musically. I also developed a lot of interest in the outdoors. I learned to ski six years ago, and I learned to fly fish last year. Between the two of them, I have an excuse to do something outside all year round.

Why I am a Mormon

Living Christ's teachings helps bring order and peace to my life. Sometimes it is easy to get confused and feel alone in this world, but it is nice to know that He always has my back and will help me if I ask for it. Being a member of His church helps me to be happy and to become the best person that I can be.

How I live my faith

Growing up as a Mormon, I was able to develop some skills in leadership positions as a young teenager over other young teenagers. Now, I play piano each Sunday for kids so they can sing songs that teach some of the fundamental ideas of Christ's teaching such as love or service. I also try to spend a little bit of time each week to turn scanned records into digital, searchable records in order to connect families and enable genealogy work.
