Hi I'm Matthew

I grew up in tremonton. love the gospel. know my ins and outs of computers, and love learning anything i can. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a missionary about to serve in the Arcadia California mission. I love soccer, and tech. I was the captain of Bear River High School Soccer Team. I have served my school by making online publications, and love helping others with their computers problems. I live on a Sod Farm. I enjoy being outdoors, whether it be camping, farming or just outside.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. From the beginning my parents have helped me go to church, even when i didn't want to. Then, as I grew up, found that the gospel had so much to offer me. Things that the Bible had in them seemed a little confusing at times but as prayer and spending time pondering about subjects that were important to me, answers arose out of nowhere. I have struggled most of my life trying to figure out what the spirit was, but I came to realize that I had it with me the whole time, but just didn't realize it. That is when going to church became a mandatory thing for me. I knew that if the spirit was with me at all times, I needed to know how to fully understand the gospel, to prolong the spirit and learn the most. I love learning, temporal or spiritual, so this became necessary to me. Also another testimony that i have picked up on is the fact that "all things point to there is a God." As I look around there are so many different things that are so interesting and different from one another that coincidences don't just happen but rather could happen because of proper placement and timing. That is where God comes in.

How I live my faith

I have served in my stake and ward in a few committees. I have put together a priesthood camp for the youth. Somehow however hard or easy the job, if it is done for Heavenly Father, I seem to have the best time and learn a lot that if i had not done, I would have missed out on. At the Garland Seminary I served a year on the Seminary Council. Pretty much, I just try to make learning the gospel at our school enjoyable and not laborious for those attending seminary. Even for those not attending seminary there are ways that we reach out and love so that they don't feel alone at high school. Seminary Council has helped out those attending seminary but has helped me so much also.
