Hi I'm Vickie

I am glad to be a Mormon

About Me

I have been able to work as an Ordinance Worker in the Temple for the past seven years. I love to be there and feel the love of my Savior and try to listen to the Holy Ghost to share his love with others. I just celebrated my 47th Wedding Anniversary. I have a special husband that has taught me so much as he lives the gospel in every way. I call him my Knight in shining Armor. Through his example I have made reading scriptures and conference reports to start each day. I love being a Wife, Mother, and Grandma. I spend a lot of time on keeping family pictures and recording events so that they will know how important they are to me and they will remember our family is forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always believed in the Teachings of the LDS Church. As a teenager I always felt that Jesus Christ was helping me in the decisions I made. I was privileged to go to the Hill Cummorah Pageant and participate in the Pageant and teach those that came to see it. I loved studying the scriptures on the Hill Cummorah and having Testimony meetings in the Sacred Grove. I am so excited to show my Husband the historical sites of our church. Let him feel the sacred places that others made the way for us to be able to live our religion with all of our hearts. I have never turned down an opportunity to serve because my Patriarchal blessing told me to accept all opportunities to serve the Lord. I have always wanted to be a good Mother, Grandmother and Wife. I know that I have had unseen angels lift me when I am down and help me bear the burdens of those I come in contact with. I am so thankful for the gift of The Holy Ghost and he answers the pleas of my heart and soul. My oldest Grandson, 17 is speaking in Stake Conference tomorrow, I am so thankful for him and the other sweet spirits I have been given to care for in my life. I am proud to be a Mormon now and for all eternities to come.

How I live my faith

I have had many experiences to teach and serve my Heavenly Father. Teaching young children about Jesus as well as young woman and adults. I know the importance of Home and Visiting Teaching . It is a gift that we have been given to us to love them as the Savior does. When I Visit I want to help the sisters feel of his love for them. I have had opportunities of serving in many organization, as I listen to the Holy Ghost and a act upon promptings and to realize that I was an answer to someone's prayer. I especially love to serve with my Husband. We have had times where we would help each other in whatever we have been asked to do to help in responsibilities. I love my Saviour. I feel great happiness and peace as I enter his Temples and Church. I know Joseph Smith was and is a true Prophet who restored the gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe in Prophets. I have felt the reassurance in my heart that I believe in Christ and I will follow Him. I dedicate my life to him in any way that I can to serve him and those who need the love he has given to each one of us.

What is the Relief Society?

Vickie
Some of my most spiritual experiences have been because of serving Sisters through Relief Society. Charity is the pure love of Christ and I have seen blessings that have softened hearts through acts of kindness through promptings of the Holy Ghost. One example is that I was praying to know who I should serve, a name came to my mind. I called that Sister and she said that she had just gotten off her knees asking Heavenly Father if there was anyone who cared about her, she felt alone, sure that no one cared. As I was talking to her I felt an outpouring of love for her and she as been close to my heart and mind each day. I know that our Heavenly Father knows the thoughts and intents of our hearts and answers our prayers through others. I am so thankful for many more memories that I have because of a visit, note, or phone call that I have made that have reinforced my desire to love others as the Savior loves us. Show more Show less
