Hi I'm Louis

I'm British. I'm a musician and aspiring Chemist/Academic. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 18 years old and have recently just finished my final year of Sixth Form. I am currently preparing to serve a mission in the Johannesburg South Africa Mission for 24 months. After which I plan to return to study Chemistry at University. In my free time I like to play Piano and Guitar and I enjoy kick-abouts with my friends on Monday nights. I also love to spend time with my friends and I am often spending a lot of weekends away meeting new People at various Conventions.

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in the Church from birth, but my Parents have always put a lot of emphasis on me gaining my own testimony of the church and for me finding it out for myself. And because of this I have always questioned the teachings of the church. Not to oppose but to find out whether the things I was learning about were true or not. I came to find, as I prayed and studied and sought out answers, that the church was true. The more I looked into the church, the more I saw the bigger picture. Of course, I had doubts along the way and my own personal trials, but in the end I always came to the same conclusion: that it was true. I still don't have a perfect understanding of it all. But from what I do know is that Christ loves me and that his love exceeds anything in this life. I know that when I turn to him and rely on him, my Trials are made lighter, my sins are no more; and this is all possible through his Atonement. I suffer somewhat from depression but I find that when I am close to Christ and following His example, I can float through the more darker moments.

How I live my faith

Right now i am preparing to serve a mission for the church in the Johannesburg South Africa Mission. I will be serving the communities in my mission area for a duration of 24 months. In this time I will be teaching the people about the Gospel and teaching them why I know it to be true. I believe it is a big commitment to my faith to take two years out of my ordinary life and devoting those two years to teaching others about Jesus Christ, The Plan of Happiness and the Book of Mormon. But More importantly, in my daily life I try to live my life how Christ would and constantly look for ways to serve and uplift those around me whether it be at work or at Home or around my Peers. I also pray and look for opportunities to share the gospel with those I meet because I went them to know and partake of the blessings I receive from this Gospel.
