Hi I'm Zach

I grew up all over the place, I've moved 12 times and currently live in Midway, Utah. Right now I'm serving a mission. I'm a mormo

About Me

I absolutely love to to travel. Mostly in the Pacific Ocean. I've been to Fiji, Tonga, Hawaii, New Zealand, and Australia. I actually lived in Australia for a number of years. I love to travel because I love to meet new people and experience new things. It helps me to keep an open mind about the world as a whole. I also love to do anything outdoors, during the summer time you'll never find me at my house. I'm always in the mountains or on a lake experiencing everything I can. Whether that be myself or with whoever, I absolutely love the mountains. Another thing about me is that I'm completely intrigued by animals. It doesn't matter what kind either. I hope to one day study in some field (haven't decided yet) that lets me work one on one with animals. Currently I have a pet gecko named hashbrown. He's an Indonesian Crested Gecko. My dad has also taught me to stay physically fit and enjoy training. So if i'm not in the mountains you can probably find me in the gym. Currently I really enjoy gymnastics/tumbling/body weight style exercises; such as push ups, pull ups, handstand push ups, really anything on a pull up bar or that requires a lot of balance. I've recently gotten into tumbling as well which I think is fantastic! I've learned to do backflips, frontflips, roundoffs, and a few more simple tricks all on flat ground. I got into tumbling because I couldn't play football or baseball now that I've graduated high school. Anyways, thats a little bit about me.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because one day I made a choice. My parents are Mormon but they never pressured my siblings and I to follow in their footsteps. They gave me a tremendous number of opportunities to explore my own beliefs through traveling around the world and experiencing it for myself. They taught me to always have an open mind to different ideas and ways of life. living in Australia I went to a international military school with a religious background that wasn't mormon. Many of the students there were of different religious backgrounds from all across the world Through all of that experience and living the gospel myself that It truly is our Heavenly Father's gospel. I know the love of God that I've felt as I've strived to grow in this gospel. I've seen the blessings that come to my family that seem to miss other families. I, just like everyone else, have questions but through the faith I have in this gospel I know my family, loved ones and myself will be blessed if we live by it.

How I live my faith

Currently I live my faith by serving as a missionary for the LDS church. I believe it requires tremendous amounts of faith to do that because you leave, essentially, your entire life behind and go and put other people before yourself by teaching them about the gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as serving them in any capacity that you can. As a missionary it's never ever about you, it's only about those you are here to serve. Often times it's incredibly rewarding as you witness others change their lives for the better. It can be difficult sometimes but through my faith in my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ I know they will bless me in my life for this service.
