Hi I'm Taylor

I'm from Washington and am serving a mission in Georgia. I love the gospel and helping others learn about it!

About Me

I'm from Washington State and love the pacific northwest. I have three siblings and awesome parents. I'm a student at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, but have decided to take a break from studies and I now have the opportunity to serve a mission in Georgia. I love spending time outdoors by hiking and camping, and I love reading, playing music, and photography.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon for two reasons. One, I have parents who taught me the gospel from birth, so I grew up in the church and it became a big part of my life. But secondly, and most importantly, I am a mormon because I know that this is the true restored gospel on the earth, and it has brought me so much happiness and hope in my life. I know this because of little things that happen day to day where I can see God's hand in my life and know that he loves me. And he loves us so much he has a plan for us so that we can be happy. And part of that plan includes us being here on earth, which isn't always easy. But it is through this gospel that I have gained the knowledge that we have a Heavenly Father and Savior who can help us overcome challenges, and what hope that gives me! One of the main reasons I have decided to serve a mission is because I want everyone else to be able to experience the peace and joy I feel because of the knowledge I have. Heavenly Father lives and loves us. He never deserts us, we need only to turn to Him and we will be blessed.

How I live my faith

For the next 18 months I have the opportunity to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, teaching the people of Georgia about this gospel I have grown to love. I am totally engrossed in the gospel more than I ever have been, but I think it is the little things I do every day that allow me to live my faith. I strive to begin and end each day with a prayer, thanking Heavenly Father for the blessings I have received, and openly talking to Him about the things I need and want. I read my scriptures daily so that I can have the chance to be spiritually enlightened and receive answers to my prayers. I attend church each week and try to attend the temple, God's house, as often as I can. I know I am far from perfect, nor am I perfect at doing any of these things. But I do know that as I have tried my best to make them a part of my life I have been blessed and had peace in my life.
