Hi I'm Boyd

I'm a Grandpa and couldn't be happier. I grew up in Utah and enjoy living near the mountains. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 8 children who have all grown up and married. You can call me an empty nester. I love staying busy with family, church, friends, fishing, camping and outdoors. My wife and I like traveling the United States. I always am looking for another adventure.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and attended most of my meetings. I was blessed with good friends and good leaders who encouraged me to be involved. I had a good bishop, (leader of the congregation or ward), who encouraged me to attend Seminary. I was able to graduate from Seminary and High School the same year. I married my high school girl friend who was and is still my best friend. Together we share the same ideas and goals. We enjoy life and being members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that we are led by a living Prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson. I know that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and restored the Priesthood Authority in this last dispensation of time. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon and that it is another Testament of Jesus Christ. I encourage all to read the Book of Mormon and take the challenge in Moroni 10 3-5.

How I live my faith

Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a commitment for everyday life. It is a decision made in advance to do what is right. I make choices daily to obey commandments. Sometimes peer pressure is strong to make an exception just this once, but decision's made early on are easy to keep. Two of my favorite callings was being an instructor in the youth nursery and being a Scoutmaster. Working with the youth requires patience, love and unconditional love. The challenge of motivating teenagers and staying a step ahead helped to keep me young. I look back over the years and see the successful Young Men and Young Women and glad I was a small part of their lives.
