Hi I'm Kathy

"I have lived on a farm in Melba, Idaho for over 44 years where I became an activist for agriculture and a County Commissioner."

About Me

My husband and I met at Utah State University where he took me from city life to the farm. I love the farm life and the wonderful way it helped to raise our six children. We worked, worshiped and played together as a family and those values have made us all better people. Because our children were all close in age, they are now all married and their children are all about the same age and have a great relationship as cousins. I have been active in politics all my adult life, and have had the opportunity to serve in government and I have been involved in many civic and farm organizations.

Why I am a Mormon

Having ancestors who gave their all to be members of this Church, I to have lived the Gospel all my life. I love the Lord with all my heart and I know that He has guided me with the power of the Holy Ghost in all the important and even little decisions that I have made throughout my life. Being a wife and mother has been the greatest joy of my life, and the Gospel has helped me to raise my family to be happy, productive individuals. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church and I am happy to testify of that.

How I live my faith

Throughout my life I have been active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a teacher of youth, and a leader in most of the churches organizations. Although, most of my responsibilities had to do with leadership, I loved to teach about our Savior Jesus Christ and my great love for Him. My favorite scripture has always been, Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways, acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." I truly believe that the Lord does direct us and has the power to help us through whatever situation we are in.
