Hi I'm Danielle

I grew up in Oregon. I am studying Psychology. I am a ballerina. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my Bachelor's degree with a 3.9 GPA. In my schooling, I focused on psychology and family studies. I plan to continue my education and get a Master's degree in counseling. I really like dancing and Ballet has always been my favorite. In my personal life, I have been married to my husband for almost two years now. My family (mom, dad, sisters, and brothers) all live in different states but I enjoy making trips out to see them. However when I am not able to, we frequently talk to each other through the phone and FaceTime.

Why I am a Mormon

I have found that when I have chosen to live the principles taught to me at Church and in the scriptures, I am much happier. This is especially true in my marriage because when I treat my husband like the Savior would, I am able to see him as the valued son of God he is and this has strengthen our relationship. However, when I was much younger and trying to decide if the gospel was really worth all the time and effort I put in, I was studying about Joseph Smith. I studied his account of his first vision of Jesus Christ, his life, and the Book of Mormon. I also prayed really hard to know if Joseph Smith really was a prophet of God. After I had done all this and patiently waited, I got the strongest impression I have ever had that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that this is the Church of Jesus Christ that Heavenly Father has restored upon the Earth. Since then, my faith has grown upon this significant piece of truth and I know that Jesus Christ died for our sins and that this is his Church upon the Earth. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is God's prophet on the Earth today, just as Joseph Smith was. And I know that following the principles taught in this church will bring my family and I happiness and eternal life with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

The principles taught in my faith guide everything that I do and how I treat other people. I'm not perfect but I strive to treat others how Jesus Christ would. I also love to participate at church helping others learn about the gospel and grow closer to our Savior. Most recently, I taught a group of six three-year-old kids with my husband. We had a lot of fun learning about God's creations (plants, animals, our bodies, etc.) and about each other.
