Hi I'm cody

I grew up in Mesquite Nevada. I love to rodeo; the events I did are team roping, calf roping and steer wrestling. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

i love to rodeo!! i competed in Utah high school rodeo association. i have competed in other associations with my family all my life. competing with my family has been a lot of fun and brought us close together. right now i am a missionary in the Texas Houston south mission. i also played basketball in high school being 6'5" it was kind of expected. i really enjoy any activity in the out doors such as; horse rides rodeo, playing basketball, training horses to compete, shooting guns or anything like that. after my mission i plan to go to college and prca rodeo.

Why I am a Mormon

i grew up a member of the church i went and participated in all the activities and went on a mission because that is what i always wanted to do. being on my mission i realized all that the church asks us to do and become. one day i was reading the Bible and i realized that i didn't know any of what i had been taught, i knew it but i didn't believe it. i didn't believe anything or even that God was there. but through constant study of the Book of Mormon and the Bible and through constant prayer and fasting i came to know that God is there and He loves us and that the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. i am a Mormon because it has made me a better person and i know that the church as restored through Joseph Smith is the way to return back to live with our Father in Heaven. The Book of Mormon that Joseph Smith translated is the convincing evidence that lead me to this knowledge. it teaches the doctrine of Jesus Christ and outlines the plan of salvation and tells us what we must do to have peace in this life and eternal life in the life to come. i choose to be a Mormon because i know that the church of Jesus Christ is the fullness of Christs gospel and has the authority given to perform saving ordinances. and i know that my family can be together forever.

How I live my faith

currently i am a missionary and am doing my best to serve the Lord and bring people closer to him. as a missionary we get to do His work all day everyday. it has been a great joy to me to get to see people change their lives for the better going from doing things that lead to misery to changing their lives and doing things that lead to happiness. i live my faith by doing my best to share it with others and that has brought me the most happiness i have ever felt. living what i believe is the most important thing i can do to show the Lord my gratitude for what He has given me. i read from the book of mormon everyday and i never let a day go by that i dont say my prayers and talk to the Lord about my day and let Him know what i need help with, because i know He loves me and wants to help me become better and happier in my life.
