Hi I'm Jolene

I was born in the little town of American Fork and raised my 8 fantastic children in Orem, now I have a family of 36. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have ancestors that came from England, Scotland and Holland, some of which lived in Nauvoo, IL and traveled to UT with the pioneers. I have lived my life within 15 miles of where I was born and loved every minute of it. I have traveled some though. Been to Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico and throughout the United States. Married the guy I met in 7th grade. I worked as a telephone operator, real estate agent, operating room tech, candle maker and overnight recovery nursing assistant but the best job I had was being a stay at home mom. Now I get to be Grandma too.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church even though my Dad was not a member and my Mom was inactive, I was always encouraged to attend my meetings. I had good friends who were from active families and their good influence was always with me. I not only attended church with these friends but also school. I was with them enough to gain great respect for the gospel's influence in their lives and families. I wanted to be like them. I had wonderful instructors at church and good strong leaders at the seminary I attended before school each weekday morning. I have faith in the teachings of Jesus Christ. I know He lived and was the example for each of us to live by. I know He died because of His great love for us and the miracle of His Resurrection is how, if we choose to, we can return to live with Him again. I know He died because of His great love for us and the miracle of His Resurrection is how, if we choose to, we can return to live with Him again. I know that Joseph Smith is the latter day Prophet who was the one the Lord chose to restore His gospel here on earth. I also know the Book of Mormon is true and another testament of Jesus Christ. Because of this knowledge my husband and I are soon to leave on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We want to share our witness with those who have not yet had the opportunity to feel the joy of this knowledge and the blessings that come with it.

How I live my faith

I have had alot of fun years being very involved in activities dealing mostly with children. Being the Mom of 8 we had school activities, I helped the teacher in her classroom, did fund raisers, book sales and was the PTA President Elect and then PTA President. I participate in Church activities for the little ones on up to the young women who actively attended church each week. I visit with different women in their homes each month just to see how they are doing and share an uplifting thought.
