Hi I'm Catie

I'm a pianist, a runner, and I love the mountains. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In my free time I love to run outside, play the piano, read, watch movies, and spend time laughing with my family. Every once in a while, I get the opportunity to go to the mountains to spend time there.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have grown up in this church. It has shaped me to become who I am today, for which I am very grateful. I choose to be a Mormon - not just because I was born into this church, but because I know without a doubt that this church is true. Every time I open the scriptures, I have felt the Holy Ghost testifying to me that the words in them are true. When I pray to Heavenly Father, I know that he hears and answers me. I have felt his love radiate for me, and for his children. Everything that I have seen and felt has built my testimony and has confirmed to me that this church is true. If you are seeking for something that is missing in your life, I can promise you that this church will fill that and will give you a lasting peace and happiness. "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask‍ God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith‍ in Christ, he will manifest‍ the truth‍ of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know‍ the truth‍ of all things." Moroni 10: 4-5.

How I live my faith

I am constantly striving to become a better person than I was yesterday. I know that I am not perfect, but I keep trying. Improvement comes little by little. And when it is difficult for me to do it all on my own, I know that I can rely on a greater strength than myself. I know that I can rely on my Savior, Jesus Christ. "And now as I said concerning faith—faith‍ is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope‍ for things which are not‍ seen, which are true." - Alma 32:21 I believe that testimony does not come all at once, but through the small, simple acts of faith each day. These small acts of faith are simple things such as reading the scriptures, attending church, serving others, and listening to the prophets and apostles speak. These things have built my testimony.
