Hi I'm Calvin H. Watson

I'm a Mormon currently studying at BYU, but I took a two year break to serve a full time LDS Mission in Montreal, Canada.

About Me

I'm 19 years old, and I just finished two semesters at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, USA. I enjoy reading and spending time with my family and friends. Right now, I'm serving a two year mission in Montreal, Canada. I'm sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in French and English, and I am grateful that the Lord has given me this great opportunity.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, guide their children on the Earth through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that it has truth to help us in our time. I am grateful for the gospel, and I am glad I have the opportunity to teach other people about it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by listening to the promptings of the Holy Ghost and then doing what I feel God wants me to do. There's a story in the Book of Mormon where a man named Nephi describes being "led by the Spirit, not knowing beforehand the things which [he] should do." I hope that I, like Nephi, can trust in the Lord enough to do what He asks, even when it seems difficult or I don't understand all the reasons. I also try to pray and study the scriptures daily. As a missionary, it is important that I study the scriptures to feel closer to God and gain a stronger testimony of the truth of this work.
