Hi I'm James

I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am going to be a missionary in the Columbus Ohio mission starting September 16, 2015. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I have been called to serve the Lord in the Columbus Ohio mission. I report on September 16, 2015. I have just recently graduated high school. I played lacrosse and was in band all through high school. I was the drum major my senior year. I was raised in the LDS Church. I am pretty much the definition of a suburban country kid. I go off roading and ride dirtbikes and all that stuff. I love playing music. I have not yet decided on what I am going to do for a career but I plan on going to college after my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the LDS church is true and I cannot deny it even if I wanted to. I am a Mormon so that I can help other's with anything regardless of what is. I am a Mormon to come closer to our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I love to serve others. I am a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is true and is another testament of Jesus Christ that completes our understanding of the atonement and God's love for us. I am a Mormon because everything that comes from this church is good and true. There is not a single thing evil or bad that comes out of it. I am a Mormon and I love every second of it.

How I live my faith

I live by faith by trying to be an example to others. I try and go out with the missionaries as often as I can to not only prepare for my mission but also to go meet other people and show them how the people of the LDS church really are in person by showing them love and serving them if they are in need. I am constantly on the lookout for service and ways I can help absolutely anyone no matter what it is. I try and go home teaching with my dad as often as I can to go teach and help families in our ward who are in need of anything or just simply need support. My friends all call me "the mormon" of the group because that's what I started to be known as in my high school because there were so few of us. I loved being called that because everyone was able to approach me with anything and they knew that I would always be willing to help.

What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

James
The church's welfare programs are to help the people who are in need and the homeless and financially struggling to "get back on their feet" again so that they can get their lives back together. We extend in-numerous forms of help to anyone and everyone who needs help. All church members are constantly encouraged to serve other, regardless of who they are or what they are in need of. We, as part of the church, always willingly accept any chance to help and assist others in any way. Show more Show less
