Hi I'm Mikele

I love teaching, yoga, traveling and smiling. I grew up in Riverton, UT and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Mikele and I am a fun-loving 21 year old girl from Utah. Ever since I graduated from high school, I haven't been able to stay in one place for long. I have been all over the world with my passion of service and teaching. Most recently, I have lived in China and Lithuania teaching kids English. When I am not off teaching and exploring, I attend Brigham Young University Idaho where I love to explore the outdoors, meet new people, and teach yoga. I am studying to become an Elementary School teacher and I could not be more excited! Recently I submitted my mission papers to become a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been called to serve in the Budapest, Hungary mission and I almost die from excitement everyday. I cannot wait to get out there and serve!

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on this earth. I have had it confirmed to me by the Holy Spirit testifying to me that it is true. I know that the teachings of the church are true and that in living the gospel standards we can find joy. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I believe that it was given to us by our Heavenly Father through the prophet Joseph Smith. I believe that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that he was called by God to restore the true church on the earth. I have a testimony of temples. I know that the work we do inside is sacred and is called by God. I have a testimony of Families. I know that if we live righteously and are sealed in the temple, we can be with our families again after this life. This is something I will be forever grateful for. I lost my dad to a heart attack earlier this year, and I know that he continues to watch over me and wait for me to come join him again one day. I know that Heavenly Father gives us trials to strengthen our faith. I know for me that without faith in my Heavenly Father I would be lost. He has given me everything, and I am eternally grateful. I believe that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins. Through the atonement our sins can be washed away and we can be clean again. This is one of the greatest blessings. I am so proud and grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending my church meetings and the temple regularly. I love to participate in Church activities that strengthen and gather church members together. I have enjoyed all the callings I have had in church, and by fulfilling those callings I feel closer to my Heavenly Father.
