Hi I'm Elaine

I grew up in Tucson, Arizona, and am serving a mission in Yakima, Washington. I love food, music, and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my freshman year at college, and am leaning towards majoring in something with education- but I'm still undecided, so no promises there. I'm the oldest in my family, with four younger brothers and a little sister, and since I've gotten older I appreciate them so much! And get along with them better, though there was plenty of chaos growing up. I love swimming, playing piano, and reading, though I definitely have a love/hate relationship with swimming and piano. But I mainly love it. I will be serving a mission for the next 18 months of my life and am so excited to go!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is the only church with the true gospel of Jesus Christ on earth today. Even though I have grown up in the church, I have had questions and have sincerely prayed to know the answers to them, which has strengthened my testimony and helped me to know of God's love for me. I love the happiness and direction this gospel brings to my life, and I wouldn't want to live any other way.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church each Sunday and teaching the three and four year old children. I love teaching them so much and the lessons are so much fun! They have really helped me feel Christ's love for little children, and want to become as easily forgiving as they are. I also have been the church choir accompanist for a long time, I think its been three years, and I love being able to serve others through my talents, as well as feel the Holy Ghost through music. I otherwise live my faith by trying to be an example to those around me by doing my very best to be obedient to the commandments God has given and treat others how Christ would treat them.
