Hi I'm Rafael

Born and raised in Peru, serving in the Florida Jacksonville Mission, Spanish speaking. Going to UVU 2018. I am a Mormon!

About Me

So, I'm a missionary, I serve the lord in the mornings and at night too. Have two brothers and parents who I just love with a passion. I enjoy sports, all of them, I love music, I pretend to play the piano and love to sing when nobody listens, I plan to make music as a hobby. Planning on going to UVU to study accounting or maybe something else, we'll see what happens, Right? I'm from Peru so I have a cool accent. I pretty much knock doors for living and love every part of it. I enjoy being outdoors, but I don't mind staying in for the day (not in the mission though). I like to watch movies and read a book every now and then. I'm pretty smart and dumb and the same time. I love hanging out with friends and eating some good Froyo. I love life and plan to do big things with mine.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church. I have lived all my life doing what I have learned from my parents and from the church. I know that I am safe because of that. I feel like my life would be different without the gospel. I recently gained my own testimony of the church and of the restored gospel, of the book of mormon and of Jesus Christ. I love to go to church, I can feel peace and love everytime I go. My leaders care about me and my family, they support me and they are willing to help as much as they can. The Book of Mormon has blessed my life in a lot of ways, the feelings that I get from the gospel are too strong to describe, and that is something that I wish people could feel in their lives too. I know that my Savior lives, he loves every single one of us, the Book of Mormon is the word of God, Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God, I know these things and they are deeply connected to my heart, our Heavenly Father has a plan for us, that we may live forever with our families, and there is no greater blessing than that.

How I live my faith

I love people, I serve, right now I'm a missionary so that's all I do, but there is so much more to it than that. It really comes down to the things you do, how you feel and how you think. Prayer, scripture study, building up that testimony. I have a strong commitment to my Savior, so I'll do whatever he needs me to do. I love to make people smile and I try to be a good example. I am just trying right now to build my faith and be more Christlike. I move people every now and then and work on their yards. Service is just sweet.
