Hi I'm W. Dean Johnson

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have lived in a small community with less than 10,000 people all of my life. I am now retired, having worked for only two employers in the same industry for 35 years. My passion is watching high school football. I have been involved in my community through the Chamber of Commerce, the Kiwanis club and various committees that serve our community. My children have been the focal point of my life, all are married and providing grandchildren, all but one live in this small community, what a delight. I married the love of my life and she has made be who I have become. She has always provide a home where the spirit of God feels comfortable.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it make sense to me. It brings me peace in my life and helps me establish the rules in my life that I want to live by. Being a Mormon has provide me with a path to happiness and provides me joy in all that I do. It has kept me safe from evil by helping me make choices that help me follow Jesus Christ's teachings and example. I have learned to appreciate the great sacrifices of the early saint as they went through many persecutions, trails and tribulations because of their commitment the the Savior.

How I live my faith

I am currently teaching an adult Sunday school class and we are studying the scriptures; old & new testament, Book of Mormon, church history. In the past I have have have served in church leadership. I have taught young children, youth and adult. I live my faith by example and never compromise my beliefs to satisfy to make other more comfortable. Right is always right and we should not have to adjust our beliefs to fit our situation. I love to serve other people and help make their life happier.
