Hi I'm Jamie

I grew up in Washington. I am the 6th out of 8 children, all of which are adopted. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I like to make jewelry, read, hang out with my family and sing. I want to teach children from kindergarten to 5th grade.

Why I am a Mormon

I was not born in the church as some people. In fact I was adopted at the age of 14-16 months. But I was raised in a "Mormon" family. As a child I believed the church was true and I lived it to the fullest. Till 8th grade. I was home schooled from first grade all the way to 8th. Then I was sent to Public school. My life seemed to deteriorate really fast. And My testimony of the gospel hit rock bottom and any little seeds that might have been saved were crushed. My life was dark, I went through the motions at church not really doing what I needed to. But at that time I didn't care, nothing seemed to matter. This went on for another year. By this time I was in high school. I hung out with druggies, stoners and smokers. And my attitude towards life in general was quickly going south. It was almost spring break when in Seminary (religion class) I was given a challenge to read the Book of Mormon in a week. To be completely honest I laughed at the thought on me reading the Book of Mormon at all. I hadn't read sense the summer before school started. But I did it, to this day I don't know why I did. I can't say the any angels visited me and told me that the Book of Mormon was true. I just knew that it was, I knew that every thing that was preached my the Prophets of old and Modern were true. I know they are to this day. Reading that Book of Mormon in a Week changed me. I was a different person after that. And to this day I am a different person Because of the Book of Mormon. I know it that the church is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet if God. and that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet today. I know that our Heavenly Father Loves each of us. He knows each of us by name and who we are. He Loves us. And that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am going on a Mission in September. I have taught as a youth in youth presidencies. And i have taught children in their church classes.
