Hi I'm Jenni Marie Lisonbee

I grew up in Nashua, New Hampshire. I love basketball, I live to read, and I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Nashua, New Hampshire. I moved to Xenia, Ohio with my family when I was thirteen, but my heart will forever be in New England. There's not much to me, but I'm passionate about what I love. I absolutely love sports, but basketball will always be my favorite. I love reading anything I can get my hands on. I used to read so much my mom couldn't get me to do anything without taking away my books! I am the second oldest of five kids. My entire family are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My father and older sister have both served missions for our church, and I am following in their footsteps. I have been called to serve in the Salt Lake City East Mission and report October 28th. 18 days after my 19th birthday! I am currently a caregiver for my Great Grandmother in a tiny town in Arizona, but will be returning home a few weeks before my mission to prepare.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I want and choose to be. I was raised in the Church, but that is not why I stay. I stay because I have a firm testimony of this church and know with a surety that it is true. I love everything about this church. I love to read the scriptures, pray, and attend church. I love to share my beliefs with others, and I look forward to attending church every single Sunday. It has given me hope and peace when nothing else could. I have been through many hard things and I KNOW that I would not have been able to get through them without my faith. I have seen this gospel change lives. I know that God lives and I know that my Savior lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by continuing to live in this gospel. I attend my church every Sunday. I read my scriptures morning and night. I will be serving a mission for my church and what better way can I live my faith? I will be dedicating 18 months of my life entirely to the Lord. During this mission I will be serving others and sharing a message of Christ to those whom I will serve. My contact with my family will be limited and I will abstain from things that would distract me from serving God with the time I am given. I am so excited for this opportunity. I have been looking forward to serving a mission for my church my entire life. I am serving a mission not because my parents want me to or for any other reason, but that I am serving a mission for myself. Nobody made this decision for me. I WANT to share with others the gladness and peace that being a part of this church has given me.
