About Me

Hello I'm Chandler and I dabbled in a number of hobbies and interests. I love snowboarding, skiing, programming, solving complex equations, and helping those around me do the same! Currently I am serving a LDS Mission to Melbourne, Australia where I am speaking Mandarin Chinese.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and grew up with the church. But it wasn't until recently that I have discovered how being a Mormon has blessed my life! The Gospel of Jesus Christ has helped me to answer all the questions that I have thought of. This is through the Book of Mormon which I know contains God's answers to all of our questions. He has also personally given me a continuation of life even to this point, allow me to explain. I had just graduated elementary school, 6th grade, the day before and some of my friends and I decided it would be great to go get a Subway sandwich. So we asked our parents and then we were on our bicycles with our hard earned money on the way to the store. We made it to Subway with ease crossing the busy main street where I lived. While at Subway we decided that we would go to one of the local convenience stores and purchases some snacks. So we rode to the other side of main street and bought our snacks and turned around to head back home. We came to a street crossing and decided that it would be best to wait there and cross when we were prompted by the street lights. The lights quickly changed and like a bullet I was once sitting still the next I was racing my friends across the road. I having experience with mountain bike racing was in the lead when I was stuck, broadsided?, by a car going ~30mph and flew tens of feet away. My friends rushed over and saw me laying in the road bleeding out but no sound accompanied it. They called my parents and they came as quickly as they could. I was still responsive at that moment but my father gave me a Priesthood Blessing with another ordained Priesthood holder that happened to be nearby. The second he said "Amen" I started to respond and gain control of my body, that was seconds before entering the second death seizure. I was quickly, by ambulance, sent to a nearby hospital and then life-flighted away. I recovered with a week with no standing injuries. Thus I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those around me. This is very important to me and helps others realize where in their lives they've seen or noticed something that was done or happened and benefitted them. This has happened to me numerous times! I live my faith by serving Jesus Christ through helping others. I will occasionally be asked to give a talk during church meetings and I am always glad to do so to share what I have learned with those around me!
