Hi I'm Nick Ponce

I'm from South Florida. I recently returned from serving in the Utah Ogden Mission. I'm an Eagle Scout. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 20. I'm a life-long member of the church. I just returned from serving a full time mission for the church in Ogden Utah. I love music, singing in the car with the radio turned up so I can't hear myself, and sharing the restored gospel. I have three younger brothers and the best mom and dad in the world. I'm crazy about scouting and outdoorsy stuff that you can do in Florida. I moved back to my mission after completing my service so I now reside in Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

In a sentence... It's the faith of my parents. I spent the first few years of my life relying on their testimonies but I have prayed many times to receive confirmation of the truth and it has been confirmed every time. I encourage everyone to take the time to pray to our father in heaven and find the truth for themselves.

How I live my faith

I have a testimony that God lives and that He restored His church through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know that He has a plan for us to return to Him and be with our families for eternity. I attend church meetings in the Belle Glade Branch in the Florida Stuart Stake. I'm the Second Counselor in the young mens presidency.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Nick Ponce
I would say it's because people don't understand the church. The term "cult" has a connotation of mysteriousness and nefarious activity and it is used to try and paint us in a bad light. It is an attempt by the adversary to discredit the truth of the fullness of the everlasting gospel. In short it is little more than namecalling by people who's reasons vary. It is my testimony that the church is true. If you have questions about it seek them from our Heavenly Father through prayer and diligent study of the scriptures. If you feel you don't know how to do this or don't want to then feel free to talk to the Mormon missionaries. They can help you. Show more Show less
