Hi I'm Kaitlyn

I love the outdoors, music, and laughing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Northern Utah. I have two older brothers and a younger brother. My family is very close and loves doing things together. We love to tease, camp, hike, and play games. My brothers will never admit it but I'm usually the one who wins the games. For the past thirteen years, my family has been building a cabin in the mountains of Southern Idaho. It has been a lot of hard work.We have done everything ourselves. As a result, I have skills in carpentry, measuring, sawing, rocking, siding, cementing, painting, etc. I can wield a hammer better than most people I know. I love music. I play the piano and sing. I'm not amazing at either but I love doing both. Music touches the soul in a way not many things can. I love praising God and bearing my testimony through music. I am a Geology major. I absolutely love the outdoors. I really enjoy camping and hiking. I am an amateur wild plants enthusiast. I love watching sunsets and sunrises. I love seeing and learning more about God's wondrous creations.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. Not in an I-just-ate-a-pound-of-fudge-and-it-was-really-great-but-now-I-feel-sick way but in a way that gives deep and ever-lasting joy. I have read the Book of Mormon many times. Every time I read it, the Holy Spirit confirms to me the truthfulness of it. In a world of ever changing fads and opinions, the Gospel of Jesus Christ provides a much needed path directly back to a loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by letting my light shine before men. I try my best to be happy, friendly, and an example of the believers. I bear my testimony through song and word, whether it be over the pulpit or in discussion with friends. I try serve those around me in, whether it be in big or little ways.
