Hi I'm Sam

I was born in Decatur,IL in 1996. I love to play sports. I love to hang out with friends, and family. I am a mormon and I love it.

About Me

Some of my favorite things to do include going to the gym with a partner and lifting weights, or and intense pick-up game of really any sport. I love to eat!! Our crew loves to go to Buffalo Wild Wings, that tends to be our hangout place!! This fall I am going to college at Boise State University, then after a year I am going on a mission. After I get back from that I'm not sure if I'll stay at BSU, or transfer to maybe BYU, USU,or BYU-I. I just recently graduated from Highland High School this past spring.

Why I am a Mormon

I am so grateful for this church, it is the one true church. I know that with it our savior Jesus Christ lives, and that because of that we as families can live eternally with him in heaven. I am so grateful every day for all the many blessings that he gives us. I can personally see it through my family and my friends, as well as many other small things that have happened to me in my life. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and I know that if you read it it will bless and change your life immensely. And I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I participate within my ward in numerous ways even though I'm about to be transferred to a ward in Boise for school. I currently at the moment do not have a particular calling. But I will be going into the Rexburg Temple soon. Another way that I practice and live my faith is through doing the basics, studying my scriptures, praying at-least morning and night most of the time more than that though!! And probably the most basic way of all, just being the best person I can be serving others when they need it and being an example to non-members, or members.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

We believe that the Holy Ghost is our constant companion in life, we receive it through baptism and then at conformation. The Holy Ghost can testify to us of truth, and knowledge. It feels different to each person, for some its a feeling in their stomach. It can also help to guide us or prompt us for, or against certain situations. Bottom line, its there to be our constant companion, but only if we remain worthy of it. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

What we believe in short that the entire purpose of life is basically to be tested, to grow, to use our agency(our ability to make choices). And to fail, to grow from your ups and downs. It is a part of of Heavenly Fathers plan for us. If we live a faith filled life, living the standards and so on that we will be able to live with our father in heaven again someday with our families.
