Hi I'm Nashton Christiansen

I'm a rugby player, thespian, book lover, music lover and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm attending BYU-Idaho and I am a returned missionary. I served in Auckland, New Zealand and it was amazing and I got to meet some truly amazing people. One thing that is a little different about me is that I suffer from Depression which makes life really suck sometimes but my family is really helping me and I've learned to open up to them more about what I'm dealing with. I love music and acting on a stage, I also love playing rugby, Those things don't sound like they'd mix but I've learned so much from both of them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church so in my early childhood I pretty much accepted what I was taught by my parents. It was when I became a teenager that I began to have doubts, my self esteem was gone and I couldn't see much of worth inside of me. Halfway through my junior year of high school I started to wake up, I wasn't happy with my life and I wanted change. I studied the scriptures and began to open up and explore new interests. I read the Book of Mormon and sincerely prayed to know that it was true and I received a personal witness that it is true and so is this gospel. My life has been so much better and so much happier, I still have bad days but hey, that's life. I know the happiness in my life and I want to share that with as many people as I can.

How I live my faith

Something I learned on my mission is that this is a gospel of happiness. God is our loving Heavenly Father and he wants us to be happy. I try to live my faith by bringing some of that happiness to others.
