Hi I'm David Roger O'Neill

I grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado. I have 3 brothers and 1 sister. I have played soccer for 10 years. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old and about to leave on an LDS church service mission to Brazil. My hobbies include any and all sports. I have 3 brothers and all 3 of us love to go out and play sports. I have played both baseball and soccer competitively. Along with sports I love to run. I have ran half marathons, 5 ks, and 10 ks. Running is my favorite past time. When I get home from my mission I will attend BYU and study civil engineering. I plan on attending the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn NY to get a Master's degree in Architecture.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know its the true church of God. I grew a Mormon and have been one all my life. And as I have grown up in the church my testimony of it's truth has grown. I don't have a conversion story or at one distinct point in my life I knew the Mormon church was true. Little by little as I have grown up I believe a little more, and then a little more. From very early on I have believed and loved this church. I know that Heavenly Father loves and that he loves us so much he sent his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins. Because Jesus Christ atoned for all of our sins, we can all be saved and live with Heavenly Father for ever after we die. I know the Book of Mormon is true scripture and is a testament of Jesus Christ, along with the Bible. I know the Book of Mormon was translated by Joseph Smith and that he and all the other prophets in history are called men of God. I know Heavenly Father has a plan for each one of us and that as we strive to keep His commandments we will be blessed in many ways and we will find joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping the Sabbath day holy and by trying to follow all the commandments. During high school most students use Sunday to do their homework. I always did my homework on Saturday so I could go to church and attend all my meetings on Sunday and to make the Sabbath a more holy day. Also I try to keep all the commandments especially at school. I wouldn't ever drink coffee, alcohol, or tea. I refused to smoke and get too close to girls. I try to keep the spirit around me at all times. And at home I try to have the best relationship with my family that I can. Every morning and every night I read my scriptures and pray to Heavenly Father.
