Hi I'm Megan

I grew up in New Zealand, but now live in Colorado. I love movies. I'm an artist, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I currently attend Brigham Young University Idaho, studying Child Development with a minor in psychology. I was born and grew up in New Zealand, but when I was 16 my family moved (back) to the U.S. I love to watch movies, read books and draw/paint. I am currently taking a break from school, and serving a mission in Nampa Idaho.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church because it gives me strength. It helps me to be a better person and to look outside of myself. I have had hard experiences with in my life. I have struggled with mental health issues and feelings of depression and worthlessness. This gospel builds me up, and the connection that I have with my Heavenly Father through the spirit, is something I never want to lose. Through this church and it's doctrine, I am guided and given hope. I have often thought of where I would be and what my life would be like without the gospel. That idea scares me, as I know that I would be in a really bad place. I have been so blessed by my membership, and gaining new experiences and understanding that I would not have otherwise. I love feeling the Spirit, and knowing that there is a plan, and that my life has eternal meaning. I am a Mormon because I know that I am better with the Gospel than without it. I need the gospel, I need Christ and his love and Atonement.

How I live my faith

I try to participate in service projects and go to activities held by my ward/stake. I like to help people, so every once in a while I helped my mum teach the children of our ward. When I attended the Young Single Adult ward, my goal there was to get to know the people, and support them however I can. While at school in Rexburg, I tried to help those around me by being diligent in my visiting teaching and encouraging my roommates to make good decisions. Now I am serving a mission, helping others learn about the gospel and how in can bless their lives. I'm so grateful for the amazing opportunity I have, it is amazing to watch others grow in joy as they live the gospel.
