Hi I'm Riley Jane Peterson

I grew up in San Francisco, CA and Gilbert, AZ. I am a long distance swimmer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to swim, read, sing, dance (even though I look like a baby deer walking for the first time), play the Ukulele, run, travel, play softball, try new things, eat, socialize, plan, and nap. I'm studying Nursing at BYU. One of the things on my Bucket List is to teach English to children in South America.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been in my life since I was born. I was raised in it and you would think because of that, I would automatically say I was Mormon. BUT, I have found for myself that I believe in the teachings that the gospel has. I have read the Book of Mormon and know that it is true. I have received insight and confirmation from the Holy Ghost that the gospel is good and true. I believe that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon and that there is still a prophet (President Thomas S. Monson) on the earth today. I love this gospel and the plan it has for families. I know that without the teachings, I would be lost and unhappy without it.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a missionary in the Minneapolis Minnesota Mission. I was previously involved with the Compassionate Service Committee up at BYU where we simply celebrated birthdays, had holiday parties, and made homesick care packages for the girls on my dorm floor.
