Hi I'm Bonnie

I grew up in South Carolina. I started college out in Idaho, and now I am about to head out on a mission for the church.

About Me

I am a college student that attends Brigham Young University Idaho. Dancing, winter-guard and color-guard have been a huge part of my life ever since I was little. I am a very outdoorsy kind of person and enjoy shooting, hiking, biking, and almost anything that allows me to become one with nature. One of my main goals in life is to become a pharmacist. Currently, I am preparing to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Salt Lake City Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to live this gospel, simply because it makes me happy. I have personally witnessed the heartbreak and sorrow that comes from not living in accordance to God's laws and I have also experienced the joy and the hope that comes from following His council. I have a strong testimony of the Atonement and of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that He lives, that He loves me, and that He knows me individually. He knows my needs even before I recognize what they might be. He has felt exactly the emotions that I have felt and during my struggles, He has been my rock. The love that He and our Father in Heaven has for each and every one of us is immeasurable and overwhelming. Our dear Heavenly Father sent his only begotten Son down to this earth to atone for our sins. He did this willingly without glory to himself for all of us. Had it been just for me, he stilled would have suffered my pains and sins so that I could be forgiven. Through Him I have found guidance, relief, and hope. Through Him and this gospel I have learned the way to be truly happy and to have that joy last for eternity. I have gained a greater knowledge of so many things and I know my purpose in life. I cannot express my gratitude enough for this Church and for the teachings and morals that it has instilled in me. My life has benefited in countless ways from living as I ought to and I know that by heeding the teachings given through the scriptures and prophets that I can one day be found righteous enough to live with our Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a righteous example to those around me. I dress modestly so that younger girls I coach and even younger girls I babysit can see an example of the blessings and joy that come from doing so. I live each day as if my Savior were standing beside me. I try to volunteer at least once a week at the local Bishop's Storehouse and to find ways in which to serve others. Most recently I have decided to serve a mission for the Church and will be dedicating 18 months of my life to put off the world and my life to submerse myself completely into serving others and teaching them of Jesus Christ.
