Hi I'm Roxanne

I grew up in California and have lived here all my life. I joined the church when I was 22 years old. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of 5 children. I love camping, biking, sewing and crafting. I love teaching in the church. I worked doing clerical and secretarial duties for a local school district for 18 years. My husband and I are both retired and are planning to serve a mission for the church. Between us we have 9 children and 32 grandchildren that I adore.

Why I am a Mormon

I met with the missionaries after the birth of my first child. Even though I had been baptized in the Protestant faith I felt there was something missing. When I heard the message from the missionaries and other members of the church I felt I had found the pieces that I was missing. I knew I had found the truth. I have been a member of the church for almost 40 years now and I still know it is the right place to be. I know that my Heavenly Father lives and that He hears and answers my personal prayers. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins so that we could return to live with our Heavenly Father and him if we obey the commandments and repent when we make mistakes. I know the Holy Ghost guides and directs me. I have had many personal experiences where I have felt the love, comfort and guidance I needed. My life hasn't always been easy, but I have received numerous blessings and I know it is because I strive to do what is right. I am a better person because of my membership in the church.

How I live my faith

My husband and I have been trained as Emergency Response volunteers. We want to be better prepared to help others and ourselves in the event of an emergency. I love to work with the youth in our church. I enjoy teaching them and learning from them. I am so impressed with their strength. I have been actively involved in the summer camp program for our young women ages 12 to 18 teaching them leadership skills and helping them to have opportunities to teach.
