Hi I'm Sean Starr

I've lived in Wyoming for many years now. I'm going to serve a mission for our Heavenly Father in Argentina. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the son in our family of 4 brothers. I am a recent High School graduate. I enjoyed my science classes and even helped start the robotics team at my school. I also really enjoyed band and playing the trombone in our symphonic, pep, and jazz bands. My family lives in a small town with a smaller school. We love to enjoy the outdoors. One of my favorites is to snowboard though I'm barely more than a beginner. I am going to college, after I spend two years serving the people of Argentina as a missionary of our church.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been going to the church my whole life. My parents are members and I was baptized at the age of 8. I didn't really know what the church meant to me till later in my teenage years though. It was at this point that I really wanted to know what the church meant to me and if I really believed what the church had taught. I studied and prayed and really struggled to know for a time. I came to a knowledge through exercising faith and seeing what it has done for those who have faith that I did believe and that I knew that the church was true. Once I knew that it changed how I lived and how I see everything. I know that we are children of a Heavenly Father that loves us. I know that he sent his son Jesus Christ to make it possible that we can return to live with him. I know that this church is the true church of Christ, and that he restored it through Joseph Smith. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and has made it possible that I can return to live with him along with my family. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. I always make an effort to support others and fill needs in whatever way I can. I visit an old lady in our community who can't do much more than read at this point in her life. I enjoy going and visiting her because it makes her so happy. I'm also serving a mission in Argentina. I am going to teach others about the beliefs that our faith has so that they can have the chance to grow and know their Heavenly Father and their Savior Jesus Christ as I have been able too. We have a strong belief in the importance of family and I love to enjoy time with them.
