Hi I'm Heidi Farley

I am the second oldest in a family of five children. I love to hike, take pictures, paint, and I love to be active. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have three brothers and one sister. I am about to embark on a mission to the Arkansas Bentonville mission. In high school I ran cross country and served on Student Government. I enjoy photography and hiking in the mountains. I love people and I love this gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a daughter of God who was born of goodly parents who raised me to love His gospel. Growing up we always attended our Sunday meetings, went to activity days and youth night, and were encouraged to do all that we could in order to serve those around us. My parents taught me to pray, read the scriptures, and cherish the Word of God. As I have continued to grow up, I cherish these things. Challenges and trials inevitably occur in our lives, and when such things have happened in my own life, my testimony and foundation that is built on Christ has never failed me. I know that Christ lives and the He loves us. Because of this, I know that He died for each of us and atoned for all of our sins, pains, and afflictions. I know I can turn to Him at all times, and He will always be there. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and I know it is true. I love the peace and guidance I receive from it. I know Joseph Smith was called of God to restore this gospel and translate the Book of Mormon. I know families can be together forever and I receive so much in the knowledge I have of the Plan of Salvation. I know we have been given so many tools to help us return to our Father in Heaven, including a Prophet who is the voice of the Lord on the earth. I know God hears and answers our prayers. It may not be according to our time table or even our own desires, but I know He will answer. I know that through the atonement we can be washed clean and enabled to do more than we could ever do alone. I have faith in the power of the priesthood, and I am grateful to have grown up with it in my home. I have faith in my Savior, Jesus Christ, and I know He will come again to reign personally upon the earth. I know that through Him, I can do whatsoever thing is asked of me. I love Him and I am grateful for His love and sacrifice that He so freely gave. This church is true.

How I live my faith

For that past year I have had the opportunity to be a primary teacher to a group of 8 year-old boys. Previous to this assignment, I had the privilege to serve in Young Women class presidencies and serve those in my Sunday school classes. In a few days, I will start a new assignment and be set-apart as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Heidi Farley
We learn and believe that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. The prophets in the Book of Mormon taught of Heavenly Father's plan for His children and the mission of Jesus Christ. This book teaches us of Jesus Christ's appearance in the America's, after His Resurrection, to teach His gospel. The Book of Mormon supports the Bible and also contains the teachings of Jesus Christ. It testifies of His atonement and having faith in Him. Those who read this Book are promised that if they sincerely pray about it, can know by the power of the Holy Ghost that it is true.
